Enjoy a relaxed evening with friends learning how to perfectly fill, cover and decorate a sponge cake, while enjoying a selection of great cakes, macarons and refreshments.
Book your place on this fun and informative demonstration and cake tasting evening and learn the art of icing and decorating a delicious sponge cake using jam and buttercream and sugar paste and finishing with the sweetest hand made flowers and foliage as well as decorative piping.
This evening will be hosted at the Cake and Sugarcraft Centre in Hedge End, near Southampton and is an ideal introduction to cake decorating.
Julie Hancock will demonstrate how to prepare a sponge cake for covering in sugarpaste and how to ensure a smooth coat.  You will learn how to colour sugarpaste, how to mould with modelling paste and how to make simple flowers and add some piped detail to a cake.  Julie will share lots…
