By popular demand we have scheduled our second cake tasting and demo evening on Friday March 28th. Enjoy a relaxed evening with friends learning buttercream icing and decorating skills. Get to grips with perfectly filling, covering and decorating a sponge cake, while enjoying a selection of great cakes, macarons and refreshments.
Book your place on this fun and informative demonstration and cake tasting evening and learn the art of buttercream piping in decorating a delicious sponge cake. Our expert tutor, Julie Hancock will explain and demonstrate how to make and colour buttercream, how to prepare a sponge cake for covering in buttercream and how to ensure a smooth coat. You will learn how to pipe decorative detail with buttercream and how to make simple but effective flowers in sugar paste . Julie will share lots of tips and hints during the evening and will, of course, answer all your questions.…
