About the event

Boston Cream Pie is a classic American cake - not a pie at all! It's a lovely light vanilla cake layered with crème patisserie and covered with beautifully smooth and glossy chocolate ganache.  In this online baking class, Susie will share her favourite recipe for Boston Cream Pie and teach you all the secrets for making a perfect sponge cake and  a rich, creamy crème patisserie  -  a key ingredient of many French desserts such as soufflés, fruit tarts and mille-feuille.  To top off your 'pie' you will learn how to make a smooth, silky and shiny chocolate ganache - deliciously decadent and very versatile.

We will share lots of tips and advice for converting American recipes into English, and answer your questions online throughout the class.  

Shortly after booking you will  receive a list of ingredients and utensils.  (Everything you will need is very straightforward and generally available.) You will also receive the Zoom joining instructions.
